At this point, we’re used to Die Antwoord’s absolutely crazy persona, so the video for “Banana Brain” doesn’t entirely surprise us. That being said, the acid-fueled experience is one of their more artistic videos yet and it’s an absolute trip to watch unfold.
Yolandi plays a troubled and mischievous young woman (as per usual) while Ninja is the bad influence taking her to a dingy house party a couple neighborhoods away – and his feet have been amputated, too, for some reason. Yolandi is pulled into the house and slipped acid as she makes out with another woman before Ninja pulls her away into a black lit room and the rest is a drug-induced free-for-all in the mind of Yolandi.
The entire video is highly entertaining and worth every second.
