EDM Reacts To The Election Of President Donald Trump

Yesterday, Donald Trump was confirmed president elect of the United States of America. After a long and tumultuous campaign from both sides, Hillary Clinton has conceded and Donald Trump will enter the White House next year.

As Barack Obama said this morning, “Everyone is sad when their team loses.” The EDM community in particular has shown itself to be particularly liberal, and notably anti-Trump. Though DJs and producers are not our direct source of information for political knowledge, nor should they be, they are public figures who inevitably influence the minds of thousands across the nation – just as athletes and celebrities do.

Below is a selection of responses from the EDM community and those influential figures regarding the decision made last night by the American people.

Approximately 180 Million Americans didn't vote in this election, so yes – your vote would have counted.

Been describing Trump to people as the Nickelback effect.

Example: i've never met anyone who likes Nickelback… but they sell out arenas.
