While I’ve never been to Electric Forest personally, I’m sure that a lot of people can attest to the weird goings-on that seems to happen there. This year, this got a bit more out of hand when a photo of a severed finger on the ground in the forest was circulated through Reddit and the internet. While the photo was eventually dubbed a hoax, Electric Forest organizers have nevertheless decided to address the situation with an official statement.
Michigan State Police have confirmed that the “finger” pictured in an image being circulated is just a “very real looking fake finger.”
