The Chainsmokers and Coldplay have truly reached uncharted territory with their massive collaboration “Something Just Like This,” as far as charts go.

Naturally, the song finds itself atop Billboard‘s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, but now it has also dethroned pop superstar Ed Sheeran to become the #1 hit on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart. It takes a special of a song to make such a statement over dance/electronic, pop, and adult contemporary categories, but anything is possible with The Chainsmokers and Coldplay.

In addition to this success, “Something Just Like This” recently hit the 20 week mark at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, giving The Chainsmokers bragging rights as the first act with two #1s that have led the charts for that long.

This marks Coldplay’s second #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart, with the first being “Viva La Vida” in 2009. The Chainsmokers previously reached #8 with the duo’s popular mainstream hit “Closer” featuring Halsey.

The Chainsmokers and Coldplay keep continue to prove there’s nothing quite like this song…
