Your EDM Premiere: Rickyxsan – Faded [Never Say Die]

It’s sometimes difficult for an artist who’s risen to fame because of the popularity of a hit single to keep that momentum going and break out of being pigeon holed, but Rickyxsan has not had that problem. Following the official release of “Gettin That,” he has consistently put on impressive tunes that continue to be rinsed out by DJs across the festival circuit.

Today marks the release of his newest song “Faded” on Never Say Die. The wonky bass tune is full of super hard snares and bass that goes bump in the night. It would be difficult to classify this as straight trap or dubstep, since the percussion is so variable. Something like Rezz’s midtempo would satisfy the style more, considering the warped bass patches and unpredictability of the track overall. But in the end, it really doesn’t matter what you call it anyway – what matters is how it makes you move, and this will certainly have you moving in ways you didn’t think you could.

Listen to “Faded” by Rickyxsan below!
