EMBRZ Talks About His Distinctive Electronic Edge & Releases New Single, “Doubt House”

EMBRZ EMBRZ

Constantly building and developing his sound is Irish producer and DJ EMBRZ, and we love his rich, textured cuts. With ‘Fire’ and ‘Higher’ recently given edits as part of a remix EP, we sat down with this skilled artist to hear more about what drives him.

Thanks so much for taking the time to speak with us! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself an artist – what sound do you always strive to create?

I was born and live in Dublin and have been producing for a few years now. My goal is to always try make emotional electronic music – EMO-DM.

What are some of the most important lessons you’ve learned along the way so far? If you could give your younger self, starting out, any advice – what would it be?

That things take time and that you really have to work hard to get the rewards. It’s cliché, but it’s true. Also, its important to make music for you; it has to come from a sincere place and usually other people respond best to that.

Do you remember what first got you into wanting to create music? Did anything in particular inspire you?

I use to listen to a lot of bands like The Arctic Monkeys and Stone Roses, and then I randomly heard a Deadmau5 track, (I think it was ‘I Remember’) and I just fell in love with the sound. I immediately downloaded a crack version of a programme called Reason and use to make crappy beats just for fun.

Your singles ‘Fire’ and ‘Higher’ have just been remixed for a new release. What do you like about the Vorsa and Tyzo Bloom edits?

It was the first time I’ve had other artists remix one of my own songs. I think they both nailed the remixes. Both producers have a big future ahead of them.

If you could name three artists/groups who have influenced you the most throughout your career so far, who would they be?

Deadmau5, Ludovico Einaudi and Noel Gallagher.

What do you have coming up for the rest of the year that you can share with us?

I actually have a new song called ‘Doubt House’ which is out this Friday (10th Nov) – really excited to share that one. I’m also playing a live show in the Button Factory on the 17th of November in Dublin!

Finally – could you tell us a random fact about you that may surprise us?

I probably listen to metal more than I listen to electronic music.
