Lorde Answers Back After Grammy Performance Snub

Lorde Strikes With An Unexpected Single Release, ‘No Better’

Lorde is out here letting us all know that despite her decision to not perform at The 60th Annual Grammy Awards — she most definitely knows how to “murder a stage.”

This comes after she reportedly pulled out from performing the prestigious event because she was refused the freedom to play one of her own songs. Instead, The Recording Academy wanted her to perform as part of the Tom Petty tribute. For the Grammy-nominated artist, that just wasn’t enough. (For extra context, both Sting and Bono appeared on the stage 3 times each last night; neither was nominated for a Grammy.)

Recently, the president of The Grammys said women need to “step up” if they want to be recognized.

President Neil Portnow also said, “It’s hard to have a balanced year and have everyone perform. We can’t have every nominee perform.”

So if you want to see Lorde live, check her out on tour!

P.S. Now would be a great time to listen to Melodrama. Although none of the material made the awards ceremony, it was still nominated for Album of the Year.
