Multiple women have come forward today accusing Datsik of sexual misconduct — and for his fellow artists and fans it’s been difficult to think about anything else since the news broke. Not only has this situation completely shook the EDM community, but it’s continuously affecting all of those who are a part of the #MeToo movement. As of now, Datsik is still trending on Twitter with over 22k tweets and counting.
Datsik fell silent for hours before releasing an official statement regarding the matter. And unfortunately, when he came back with a response it lacked any real accountability or apology. It seems all of these claims were entirely dismissed by Datsik with the following words:
“I don’t condone that kind of behavior and I care about every single person that I meet, on the real. I know this is a sensitive subject and I am also a sensitive dude, so please say what u must but honestly I want u to know that this shit means the world to me. […] I will make a bigger effort to make sure that nothing I do will be misinterpreted in the future.”

Some have called Datsik out by name, others have inadvertently given him the middle finger, and needless to say, the entire EDM world is in shock. Well, some are in shock and others say they saw this coming from a mile away.
Here are the DJs, the fans, the people close to the scene — and here’s what they have to say.
NOTE: Not all of these may directly relate to Datsik, but to a more general discussion about consent and sexual abuse.
EDM Reacts To Claims Against Datsik
Yo bro, your deception isn't fooling anyone but yourself. Own up to your actions and accept the consequences. Have some fucking honor.

Just catching up on this Datsik shit….Im appalled but 0% surprised. These stories will continue to come out because for so long these dudes have been protected and allowed to get away with this disgusting fucking behavior

People need to be held accountable for their actions. Putting people on pedestals creates a toxic environment, leading to a misguided sense of entitlement and dominance. This needs to stop and it starts with your ⚡voice⚡ We cant let it destroy this wonderful world we live in.

"Due to the allegations against Datsik we will be removing all related content including pictures and videos. I made the choice for our team to spend March honoring women and he has shown an opposition to that belief."
— Freed Lance Collective (@freedlanceco) March 14, 2018
I'm tired of it just being females coming forward about rape culture/allegations. Dudes, stop protecting these slimballs. If you have been around a female being taken advantage of and said nothing u are just as bad. No 1 is that cool. Speak up.#DATSIK
— Porn and Chicken (@pornNchicken) March 14, 2018
This isn't passable. You need to directly respond to the allegations, and acknowledge the women who have come forward.

And lemme spell it out so it shows up in search results and since so many other DJs are having a problem saying it: @datsik

What even are you doing sleeping with loads of random girls if you got yourself a bomb ass gf
— Emma (@FitchBass) March 14, 2018
Hopefully people will understand it is very much not my place to say anything more about this, and remember these things always come out in the end. Don’t be stupid

Smh….. I’m a “Vibe Reader” he said…..
“Drunk” and “Vulnerable” are the vibes he must be keen on picking up
