Since August 10, Getter has been slowly going over the meanings behind each of the songs on his album VISCERAL, one by one, until today when the full tracklist dropped. The description for the final track, “On My Way Out” featuring Joji, is still missing, but we expect it to come soon.
In the meantime, learn and absorb everything you can about the new album below and listen to track 4, “All Is Lost,” with nothing, nowhere. VISCERAL is out September 28.
the intro track on my album is called “purgatory”
it’s an ongoing build into the album.
i tried to use the feeling of being lost in purgatory, being fucked forever.
stuck in your own crazy head.
and shit just keeps getting worse.

second track on the album is called “part of me” featuring @AudioOpera on vocals.
this one is about being so close with someone that you will do or say anything to make them feel better.
even if it means surrendering your dignity.
their feelings are more important than yours.

3rd track on the album is called “numb” featuring @ALLANKNGDM
this track has an uplifting vibe, masked with false hope.
this one is more about something just not working out.
starting strong, but getting weaker.
over and over
so many times you are numb to it

track 4 on the album is “all is lost” featuring @nothingnowhere
this song is about having the feeling that everything around you is crumbling.
whether it be from someone passing, a relationship ending, or just going through hard times.
nothing matters, why continue?

5th track on the album is called “best of me“ feat @sweetsoundxx
this one tries to capture the feeling of being in a fucked up reationship.
bad shit keeps happening, you’re always breaking up and getting back together.
but the chemistry is stronger than the problems
— VISCERAL SEPT 28 (@GetterOfficial) August 14, 2018
track 6 on “visceral” is called
Release feat. @Midocamusic
this song only took 24 hours to make. straight and to the point.
this song is about having a cloudiness in ur head.
something is wrong but u don’t talk to anyone to avoid pity.
all u want is release
— VISCERAL SEPT 28 (@GetterOfficial) August 15, 2018
7th track on the album is the colorblind interlude
i redid this song so its less of a party and more of a funeral
the most honest song on the album. i wrote the lyrics during a bad breakdown
i was not in good shape.
this song represents how crazy you can make yourself feel
— VISCERAL SEPT 28 (@GetterOfficial) August 16, 2018
track 8 on VISCERAL is called "made for you"
this one is about getting shut down every chance youre given.
knowing, for a fact, that u belong with someone.
showing that someone that you are in fact MADE for them, but they just cant see it
— VISCERAL SEPT 28 (@GetterOfficial) August 17, 2018
track 9 is “bleed” featuring @nameulkwoe
original version of this was on my planet neutral album.
dedicated to one of my first friends in LA, Johnnie Greenback
he always pushed me to make new, different shit. this song was and still is for him
— VISCERAL SEPT 28 (@GetterOfficial) August 18, 2018
track 10 is “hold on tight” featuring @NJOMZA
one of the first songs i made for the album. njomza is a great singer and knew exactly what to write.
this ones about hanging in there when u think everything is falling apart.
ur not as hopeless as u think
— VISCERAL SEPT 28 (@GetterOfficial) August 19, 2018
Track 11 is the already released song titled "solo" Featuring @partypartynails
