With this announcement, the techno-driven event keeps its reputation as one of the longest running and most acclaimed music festivals in the world. Over the years, Movement has remained dedicated to bringing an experience like no other to Detroit, the place where techno was born.
Seasoned vets and up-and-comers alike make up this year’s Movement lineup. Highlights include Orbital, who will perform live in the city for the first time in nearly 20 years, Amelie Lens, Stephan Bodzin (live), Chris Lake, Danny Brown, Hot Since 82, Floorplan (live), DJ Nobu, Heiko Laux, and Disclosure.
There are some acts that could have been anticipated including Get Real, Fisher, Charlotte de Witte, J.Phlip, Golf Clap, etc. Movement always keeps things interesting with plenty of surprises, too.
Michigan native and “future funk” trailblazer GRiZ will bring his acclaimed live set to Movement’s closing day. There’s a very special b3b set from Dubfire, Nicole Moudaber, and Paco Osuna. Off-White founder and Louis Vuitton’s artistic director Virgil Abloh will deliver an exclusive DJ set exploring the relationship between fashion and music. Korean-American artist and rising global sensation, Yaeji, will be there. Plus, Gucci Mane will perform.
Movement 2019 takes place over Memorial Day Weekend, May 25 – 27 inside Hart Plaza, Detroit’s legendary riverfront park. See the full lineup below and get tickets here.
