R3HAB has had a string of phenomenal releases recently, including ‘Believe (Shooting Stars)’, released on October 25, 2024, under Universal Music/Virgin Records with Mufasa & Hypeman and RANI. R3HAB, known for his boundary-pushing electronic sound, brings his signature touch to this uplifting track, featuring Mufasa & Hypeman’s iconic energy and RANI’s soulful vocals. The song reimagines Bag Raiders’ classic ‘Shooting Stars’ with a fresh, hopeful vibe, celebrating unity and belief. This collaboration marks a new chapter in their musical journeys, blending nostalgic elements with modern dance energy.
In addition to this stellar collaboration, he’s also remixed Gryffin and Whethan’s single ‘Dance Through The Night’, along with Oumaima Taleb’s track ‘Mezlaaj’, and Majid Almohandis single ‘Waareftak’.
In an exclusive interview with R3HAB, we chat to the globally renowned producer and DJ about his upcoming B2B with Afrojack at Soundstorm Music Festival in Saudi Arabia, his pre-show routines and what he’s got in store for 2025.

Hey R3HAB, thanks so much for taking the time to talk with YourEDM. We’re super excited to catch up with you!
Happy to be here
You became a regular on the line-up of Tomorrowland, both the flagship edition in Belgium as well as Tomorrowland Winter. Do you have your ultimate “stay warm but still cool” outfit and could you share something people might not know or realize about performing in a snowy environment?
The key in cold weather is keeping the energy high. I’m moving so much on stage I barely notice. A good vest never hurts.
Working with Mufasa & Hypeman on your latest single ‘Believe (Shooting Stars)’ with Dutch singer RANI must have been a blast, as Mufasa & Hypeman are clearly characters. Did anything funny or unexpected happen during the creative process?
This song came together very quickly and it was a really fun process since all the artists involved shared positive vibes, which was very important for this record.
On December 14, you’ll perform a b2b set with Afrojack at the already widely known Soundstorm Festival in Riyadh. Specifically for this occasion, you prepared official remixes for top Arabic artists Oumaima Taleb and Majid AlMohandis, which is already a very unusual move. Do you have anything else up your sleeve to reveal in December?
I love exploring new cultures, and it’s been a unique experience adding my dance touch to leading Arabic acts’ hits and premiering these remixes live in Riyadh. I’ll be taking this month to slow down a bit and catch up on rest. That being said, B2Bs with Afrojack are always fun and unexpected. I’m looking forward to Soundstorm!
Is there a big difference between preparing for a B2B set versus a solo performance? Do you usually communicate with the other artists a lot beforehand, or maybe go with the flow in a more spontaneous way?
Usually we keep things organic. There will always be a few records we need to play, recent releases we’re excited about or new IDs that we’re developing, but besides making sure those are sprinkled in, we’ll see where the rhythm takes us.
Between shows and festivals, what’s the one thing you always pack in your suitcase, no matter where you’re headed?
My supplement routine! Health is wealth.
Do you have any pre-show rituals or superstitions to get into the zone on the day of the performance?
No superstitions, just routines. I get as much sleep as possible, and a few hours in the gym. Then I’m good to go.
You are one of the most sought-after remixers in the scene today, but if you could remix a theme song from any movie or TV show of your choice, which one would it be?
This is a great question. It would have to be “Love Theme From The Godfather.”
Imagine you’re stuck on a desert island but can bring one piece of DJ or studio gear to help you survive in that environment – what are you bringing?
It’s a tough one, but I guess my iPhone is where many ideas start. It’s also the most likely to help me off the island (haha).
Your sound keeps constantly developing. In which direction do you think it will go in 2025? Will you be paying attention to trends at the time, just do your thing or a mix of both?
The electronic scene is exploring so many directions now. Following trends is impossible since they come and go so quickly. I’ll keep pulling influences from different places and make sure there’s always a R3HAB element in my productions.
Are there any IDs from your sets that you played in 2024 that you plan on releasing in 2025? I’m sure there are some unreleased tunes that people already heard and are currently anticipating.
Right now, I can’t say very much, but if you read these words closely you might see a hint for an early 2025 release 🙂
