The BRIT Awards unveiled the nominees for this year’s award show, and spearheading the Dance category are Nia Archives, Fred Again.. and Chase & Status.
Charli xcx leads the way with multiple nominations across categories; including Artist of the Year, Mastercard Album of the Year, Song of the Year with Mastercard, Dance Act and Pop Act. Other British artists with multiple nominations include Fred Again.., Nia Archives (whose up for Best Dance Act and Artist of The Year) and drum and bass stalwarts Chase & Status. On Instagram, Chase & Status shared their gratitude for being nominated this year again; “winning a Brit last year was such a moment for us. To be nominated again for two awards is an honour. Big up @brits. Big up @stormzy every time.”
Winners are determined by public vote on WhatsApp, and voting begins from Friday, 31 January at 12pm and is open until Friday, 14 February at 6pm. All winners will be announced during the live show on Saturday, 1 March at the iconic O2 arena.
