House producers Brooks and Repiet joined forces on a spectacular single ‘I Don’t Wanna Know’, released via Future House Music on 31 January.
Known for his bold productions, Brooks has worked with the likes of David Guetta and Martin Garrix on the track ‘Like I Do’ which went platinum, while Repiet has garnered over 140 million Spotify streams for his single ‘Echo’, which was released on Hardwell’s pioneering imprint Revealed Recordings.
This collaboration showcases the power of artistic chemistry and spontaneity. Although this was the first time the Dutch producers worked together, the process flowed naturally, and felt organic right from the start. This approach culminated into a track that’s playful, with an unmissable appeal and captivating resonance. Speaking on the making of the track, Brooks commented: “sometimes, making music is just about having fun…and trying to convince yourself you know what you’re doing.”
‘I Don’t Wanna Know’ features tantalising digitised vocals, an eccentric beat that creates momentum while still giving the track room to breathe, along with a combination of stirring synths and an ear-worm melody. The single proves that sometimes the best thing to do is let go, and allow the creativity to flow. Often, the result is much better than anticipated.
