UK-based drum and bass duo Sigma, recently dropped their latest offering ‘CHARGIE’ with Scrufizzer and Jamakabi, which also marked the launch of their new label Day Ones.

With the single, Sigma make a grand return to their underground roots, and rebuild the drum and bass foundation they built over 10 years ago. Speaking on the track, Sigma revealed; “we’ve been fortunate to achieve so much with our music over the years, but this track represents a return to the essence of what made us fall in love with drum & bass in the first place.”

‘CHARGIE’ features an explosion of grime, jungle and drum and bass influences packed into a heavyweight, and gritty soundscape. The intensity of Skrufizzer and Jamakabi’s vocals set the track alight with a mesmerising balance of nostalgia and contemporary vibrance.

The official music video dropped on YouTube today, and features Sigma, Skrufizzer and Jamakabi in a grungy, desolate environment with abandoned buildings. Shot exclusively in black and white, the video makes use of interesting shots like close-ups, low angles, flashing imagery, along with luxury cars and streetwear. The video perfectly captures the raw essence of the track, as well as its unapologetic energy.

In their long-standing career, Sigma have received multiple platinum records and went on numerous global tours. With ‘CHARGIE’, they’re once again declaring their unwavering position as leaders in electronic music and the underground.
