In a statement released last week, Native Instruments CEO Nick Williams shared that the music technology giant will officially undergo formal insolvency proceedings. This update follows the news that broke in January by Create Digital News, which announced that Native Instruments will undergo preliminary insolvency proceedings.
The statement, which was published as a blog post on Native Instruments website, opened with Nick saying that all their services, products and platforms continue to operate as usual: “I want to share a direct update on the restructuring process underway here at Native Instruments. Business continues as usual across Native Instruments, iZotope, Plugin Alliance, and Brainworx. Our products, platforms, services, downloads, and customer service remain fully available.”
Nick said that Native Instruments will be going ahead with formal insolvency proceedings, along with a number of their German organizations. He noted that “As part of the restructuring process, Native Instruments GmbH and a number of our German entities will shortly be moving through expected legal steps, including transitioning from “preliminary insolvency” into formal “insolvency” proceedings where applicable.” 
According to the blog post, NI is also currently searching for new shareholders “with deep roots in audio and technology”. Additionally, Nick pointed out the insurmountable support and loyalty the company has received in recent months, and that it has not been taken lightly. He said “The support we are receiving from our partners, artists, and community has been extraordinary. This loyalty isn’t something we take for granted, and it’s a reflection of what Native Instruments means to the people and businesses we work with every day.”
Upon concluding the blog, Nick also thanked the Native Instruments team for their unwavering dedication throughout this process, and he expressed hope for the future of the organisation. “What gives me confidence in our future isn’t just the progress we’re making – it’s also the extraordinary passion and dedication of the entire team here at Native Instruments.”
