Rezz Shares Emotional Statement As She Steps Away From The Stage

Rezz has announced an indefinite hiatus from touring, cancelling her remaining 2026 performances as she steps back to focus on her physical health and recovery from burnout. The artist shared the news through an emotional statement on social media, explaining that the demands of constant touring had begun taking a serious toll over the past several months.

She shared an emotional statement across her social media platforms, informing fans that she would be stepping back from touring to focus on her health and recovery. “For 15 years I was fully focused as an artist, travelling the world, but wounds began to scrape at me until I became the most sick physically I’ve ever been in the past few months. I’ve tried to push through the last few shows but it’s clear that touring and the stress that accompanies it make my conditions far worse.”

Known for her dark, hypnotic sound and immersive live performances, Rezz has spent more than a decade building a dedicated global following within the electronic music scene. The Ukrainian-Canadian producer, whose real name is Isabelle Rezazadeh, rose to prominence through releases on Mau5trap before developing her own distinct style that blends midtempo bass, techno influences and cinematic sound design.

In her statement, Rezz explained that continuing to tour would be harmful to her health, adding that she still plans to continue releasing music despite stepping away from live performances for the foreseeable future. Several scheduled festival appearances and headline shows are expected to be affected by the decision, including major summer events across North America and Europe.

The announcement has prompted an outpouring of support across the electronic music community, with fans and fellow artists praising the producer for openly addressing the realities of burnout within the touring industry. Discussions surrounding the physical and mental pressures placed on touring musicians have become increasingly prominent in recent years, particularly as artists continue balancing demanding travel schedules, festival appearances and constant online visibility.

While no timeline has been given for her return to the stage, Rezz made it clear that the hiatus is intended to prioritise long-term healing rather than signal the end of her career. For many fans, the decision reflects a growing shift within electronic music culture toward more open conversations surrounding artist wellbeing and sustainability within the live music industry
