Tokyo is set to welcome a new addition to its live music calendar with the debut of 81 MUSIC FESTIVAL, arriving at TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Positioned as an international platform, the festival brings together pop, hip-hop, and electronic music under one arena-scale production, aiming to connect mainstream audiences with global club and festival culture.
The inaugural lineup features a wide cross-genre selection of global artists, including The Kid LAROI, R3HAB, MRAK, John Martin, and a high-energy B2B from Vini Vici and MR.BLACK. They are joined by Night Tempo, Alan Shirahama, alongside 3LI¥EN and MARVY.
At the electronic core of the lineup, R3HAB is expected to deliver his signature high-impact festival sound, built around melodic hooks and driving drops intended for massive arena crowds. In contrast, MRAK will take a more atmospheric and storytelling-driven approach, shaping a performance that prioritises emotion, texture, and a less conventional live structure. 
The Kid LAROI headlines the lineup with a contemporary pop sound shaped by emotional songwriting and wide mainstream reach. Best known for global hits such as ‘STAY’ with Justin Bieber, his performances move between energetic peaks and stripped-back melodic moments that often draw strong audience participation, reflecting a style rooted in modern pop storytelling and personal expression. John Martin brings a distinctive vocal identity shaped by some of electronic music’s most recognisable anthems, made for those peak mainstage moments where scale and energy converge. On the heavier side, the Vini Vici B2B MR.BLACK set pushes deep into high-intensity psytrance, driving fast-paced energy designed to keep the crowd in constant motion.
Beyond the music, 81 MUSIC FESTIVAL is built around the concept “From CODE to CORE”, referencing Japan’s +81 dialling code as a symbolic link between Japan and the global music scene. With tiered ticket options and a large arena built for масштаб production, the festival aims to become a new international hub for global music in Tokyo.
Night Tempo offers a contrasting sonic direction, drawing from Japanese city pop and retro aesthetics and reshaping them through a contemporary club lens. His performances tend to lean into a light, groove-focused energy, creating a nostalgic yet forward-facing atmosphere that sits in balance with the heavier mainstage soundscapes.
Gradually building his presence, Alan Shirahama has strengthened his profile across both Japanese and international stages, alongside his work with EXILE and GENERATIONS. He has carved out space within electronic music through festival appearances, global releases, and collaborations that fuse club-driven production with mainstream accessibility. His set is expected to deliver a high-energy blend of melodic dance elements designed for the arena.
Tickets are available across multiple tiers, including PLATINUM and GOLD standing options, alongside general admission seating designed to accommodate a wider audience. GA tickets will also permit entry for under-18 attendees, subject to specific conditions for younger guests.
