Daft Punk Legend Thomas Bangalter Drops Electrifying ‘Circonvolutions’ Remix for CHANEL

Thomas Bangalter is back with a sleek new take on his orchestral track ‘Circonvolutions’,  teaming up with French luxury powerhouse CHANEL for their latest global campaign. The remix takes the track from his 2023 orchestral album Mythologies and adds electronic beats and groove, while keeping the original strings. It perfectly soundtracks CHANEL’s new Bleu de CHANEL fragrance campaign, directed by Oscar-winner Alfonso Cuarón and featuring rising Hollywood star Jacob Elordi.

Originally created for choreographer Angelin Preljocaj’s ballet and performed by the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine, this rework pulls the composition firmly into club-ready grounds. Bangalter adds fresh layers of texture and pulse that feel both cinematic and dancefloor-bound. Both the original and the new remix are now available on digital platforms, along with a limited-edition numbered 12-inch vinyl EP that collectors won’t want to miss.

This launch arrives right as Bangalter continues building momentum in his post-Daft Punk era. His highly anticipated new album Mirage, a minimalist electronic score made for a ballet by Damien Jalet and artist Kōhei Nawa, drops June 5th. The same week, he’s also scoring JR’s massive public art installation ‘La Caverne du Pont Neuf’  in Paris.
