Carl Cox has officially kicked off his new residency at [UNVRS], opening the summer series on Sunday (21 June) with a marathon all-night-long performance that reminded clubbers why he remains one of Ibiza’s most enduring figures. According to Ibiza’s official social media channels, the legendary DJ took control of the decks at 11:30 PM and played through until 6 AM, delivering a 6.5-hour set to mark the launch of the residency.
The opening night reportedly drew a packed crowd from start to finish, with attendees filling the dancefloor throughout the evening as Cox guided the room through an extended journey behind the decks. The performance served as a strong statement of intent for the weeks ahead, showcasing the veteran selector’s ability to command a room for hours while maintaining the energy that has defined his career on the island for decades.
The successful debut also marks the start of a summer-long residency at [UNVRS], with Carl Cox set to return every Sunday through to October 4, 2026, delivering his signature all-night-long sets throughout the season. As one of Ibiza’s most celebrated residents, the launch further cements his place at the heart of the island’s nightlife landscape while introducing a new chapter at one of its most talked-about venues.
