“Gabber” isn’t exactly a genre known to many. I even had to make a quick Google trip to get a solid grasp on what the word meant. Turns out it’s a sub-genre of hardcore techno while also being an Amsterdam slang word of Bargoens and Yiddish origin that means “friend.” And it seems a pair of attendees at gabber-based Dominator Festival have become more than friends, as a recently uploaded video shows a man proposing to his girlfriend.
The video captures the moment of the whole process, surrounded by a crowd of other festival goers. All the while, a fuzzy but prominent pounding bass can be heard in the background. While this might not be everyone’s cup of tea, it seems this couple were satisfied with their gabber-filled engagement. Congrats to the couples!
