Having left his position as label manager of Nextgen Record’s dubstep division, Matt Goldstein has founded Highfire Records. As with any new label, ambition is high. The very first official release of the label presents great promise, however.
“Ashes” by Foria is a swinging future bass tune that builds on negative space and natural ambiance. Employing sweeping synths and uplifting melodies, “Ashes” creates an atmosphere difficult to replicate.
