Billboard Names The Top Albums of 2017

Everyone has their opinion on album of the year — but according to the official Billboard 200 Chart — it’s Kendrick Lamar, DAMN. It’s the first rap album to reign since 50 Cent’s The Massacre back in 2005.

With an indisputably well done and well received hit like “Humble,” DAMN. was destined to make an impact. The track took the music world by storm — making its way from the mainstream into the electronic scene with a massive remix from Skrillex, and flips from everyone who is anyone. And as every song off the album played out as strongly as the next, Kendrick made a true mark on music history.

Combing through the Billboard’s top albums list for electronic artists, it’s looking a little sparse. The Chainsmokers come in at the 21 spot for Memories… Do Not Open and again at 30 for their Collage EP. Calvin Harris also represents EDM with his Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 at 93, which is also up for our Your EDM Awards album of 2017!

Check out the top 10 albums from the Billboard 200 below and see the full top 100 here.
