We spoke to Rich DietZ who recently linked up with Polar Bears on their scintillating track titled ‘Still’, which was released via Boom Records.
Rich DietZ are the dynamic duo from South Florida, known for their distinct take on tech-house and bass house. The duo recently made their debut in Tokyo, Japan in January, while their music has also received support from the likes of Tïesto, Diplo and James Hype. Polar Bears have collaborated with Paris Hilton on the single ‘Melting’, as well as NEVVE on the feel good track hit ‘Good On You’. 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for both duo’s, as they’re building a powerful reputation with their high-energy DJ sets and immersive releases.
In the interview, Rich DietZ talk about interesting studio moments, working with Polar Bears, plus they share an exclusive B2B mix below!
Let’s talk about your collaboration with Polar Bears titled ‘Still’. How did the idea first come about?
Hey, Thanks so much for having us! Still was an idea we started together after our B2B with the Bears at Miami Music Week last year. We wanted to make a record that captured the same energy from the set, so shortly after, we locked in and started sending some ideas back and forth. It came together pretty quickly, and we didn’t overthink it. Once we found the vocals the track pretty much took on a life of its own!

What was the most rewarding aspect of collaborating with Polar Bears on this track, either creatively or personally?
Honestly the genuine friendship we were able to build through the process, we’ve been able to create some awesome memories together. Our favorite part about this industry is being able to build a connection with likeminded people, or in this case… Bears.
Do you have any interesting, strange or funny behind-the-scenes stories from the making of ‘Still’?
We found out where they keep their helmets, and we put them on when no one was looking 🙂
‘Still’ is quite an emotive track that’s not only made for the dancefloor. How important is it to you to create music that inspires and allows listeners to experience life in a different way?
It’s really important, we truly think having a positive outlook is a super power, glass half full type of thing. At the end of the day everyone wants to feel good, and find happiness no matter what might be going on in their life. Perception is a reality, it just depends on how you look at things. It’s always been our goal to be able to help manifest that message through music.
Can you tell us about your B2B with Polar Bears at The Orpheum Theater? What stood out to you the most about that experience?
The energy was off the charts… and the lasers were freaking crazy
Is there anything you’ve learnt from Polar Bears during the production process that you might carry forward into future projects?
Don’t be afraid to speed things up… 137bpm hits hard in the club
What does 2026 hold for Rich DietZ? Are there any new directions, experiments or projects on the horizon?
Currently we are on tour with some of our best friends, Hood Politics Records. It’s been unbelievable getting to travel, and play shows together. We’re always testing out new music, and we’ve got some really sick ID’s we can’t wait to release!
