Goldenvoice is taking its festival ambitions to the sand. The Coachella organisers have unveiled the lineup for the first-ever Ocean Way Festival, set for September 26-27 on The Sandbox, a 550,000-square-foot beach stretch just south of the Santa Monica Pier. Headliners The Killers and Olivia Dean lead the bill, joined by electronic acts SG Lewis, BLOND:ISH, Austin Millz, and Carlita, alongside Jack White, Khruangbin, Nala, and Coco & Breezy.
The festival’s name pulls from a deeper local history, Ocean Way Recording, the legendary studio founded by audio engineer Allen Sides, who got his start producing out of a garage nearly 50 years ago. Santa Monica City Council member Dan Hall, who introduced the motion that brought the festival to the Pier, said the goal was to build something that works for the whole Pier community, not just Goldenvoice, and that the city collaborated directly with local businesses to shape the experience around lessons from past events at the site. 
The bet already looks long-term: a city staff report from April signals plans for Ocean Way to return in both 2027 and 2028, positioning it as part of Santa Monica‘s broader push to bring high-quality cultural programming to the region’s peak event season.
