Today, production duo Kort released their new single Tropicassa on Copyright Recordings. The original mix is a funky little bit of tech house, with the main instrument being a muffled trumpet backed by filtered steel drums and even a whistle in the background; the bassline is a bit reminiscent of acclaimed Swedish duo The Knife‘s Silent Shout album. By contrast, the Future Tech Mix ventures a bit more into classic techno; toning down the house influence while keeping the melodic elements in place, this mix dives deeply into minimalism at the drops. Regardless of which mix you prefer, there’s no doubt that this is a great tech house track that would fit in perfectly on a tropical rooftop by the sea!
