Seandroid – Eaten/Blackout EP (Sick Slaughterhouse)

If you haven’t yet heard of Seandroid, consider this your introductory course.  This up-and-coming producer out of Alberta, Canada has been making waves with his massive, exciting production style and genre-blending technique.  His work has been featured on such labels as Cash Gold Records and Lazy Rich’s own Big Fish Recordings, and now the whiz kid comes roaring back with an ambitious two track EP.  Off of Sick Slaughterhouse, the “Eaten/Blackout EP” is an absolute treat and shows off Seandroid’s skill with multiple genres.  The first entry, Eaten, is a scorching-hot moombahton track that combines a down-tempo, rhythmic groove with Seandroid’s always-massive bass and synth programming.  The thunderous bassline provides the backbone for the track, while Seandroid adds some harmony to the mix with a bright lead that perfectly complements the moombah frenzy.  The second track, Blackout, is a ferocious electro house experience.  Seandroid alternates melodic chord progressions with an absolutely gigantic sawtooth bassline, and creates a driving feel that grows as the song goes on.  The final breakdown sees Seandroid build on the synth progression with some atmospheric strings, before the final drop takes us back into one last segment of furious energy.

All in all, this is an impressive EP that really captures the essence of Seandroid’s sound.  Don’t be surprised to see this talented Canadian on the rise these next few months.  Pick up your copy of the Eaten/Blackout EP today.
