Daft Punk Responds To Coachella Rumors

It is rather difficult to keep track of all the recent Daft Punk rumors, but the most reoccurring and persistent one is concerning their potential appearance at this year’s Coachella. What re-ignited the flames of such an overdrawn rumor is the recent discovery that Daft Punk’s VEVO page mentions them playing on April 12th at the festival’s location. What most are unaware of, is that VEVO pulls its information from Songkick, a website that is very lax when it comes to allowing individuals to add tour dates to artists’ pages. What is rather unique this time around though, is that Daft Punk’s team actually responded to these recent rumors by stating:

“Daft Punk is not performing at Coachella this year.”

So no luck folks, those attending Coachella will not be getting a preview of Daft Punk’s upcoming Random Access Memories.
