At this years Amsterdam Dance Event, the Dutch brothers known as Showtek took some time to talk about breaking down the Hardstyle barrier and venturing out to other genres. The two recalled their recent single ‘Booyah,’ giving thanks to David Guetta for the support.
After speaking on a panel with Nicky Romero and Sharam called ‘How to Survive as a DJ’ they sat down with inthemix to discuss their progression into other tempos.
It’s a shame people will go as far as throwing beer at an artist because they aren’t hearing the tracks they want to hear. Showtek‘s transition was well worth it, considering they re-entered the DJ Mag Top 100 poll at #27 which is their best yet. Expect more hit singles from this dynamic duo and hopefully theres an album in the works. Next time you get angry towards a producer, put yourself in their shoes!
