Electronic Music Dominates the BRIT Awards

by Brendan Duncan
January 10, 2014
in EDM News

In a testament to the brilliance of 2013, multiple electronic and EDM artists have been decorated with BRIT nominations.

Disclosure take the top with a total of 4 nominations: British Breakthrough Act, British Group; British Single (White Noise) and British Album of the Year (Settle).

British band Bastille, with their tidy, formulaic and mild pop music, also received 4 nominations.

David Blake, Sam Smith (featured in La La La) and Rudimental also received nominations for British Male Solo Artist, Critics’ Choice and British Group respectively.

Rudimental ft Ella Eyre (Waiting All Night), Naughty Boy ft Sam Smith (La La La) and Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding (I Need Your Love) also received nominations for British Single.

For International Group, Daft Punk (of course) received a nomination.

Who do you think should rightfully win their awards? Who will come out on top between the battle of Disclosure and Bastille?
