Today Monstercat premiered a very special tune on their Soundcloud account. It’s a tune by San Diego-based music producer Grant Bowtie. This will mark his very first release on Monstercat, which was submitted to the label as a demo. It’s not often that a demo submission be this good; you can expect this type of material from established producers like Fractal and Seven Lions, but rarely ever from a yet-to-be-signed bedroom producer who’s still in high school!
The tune, which Grant Bowtie dubs “Reach,” can only be described as a melodic and uplifting mix between dubstep and glitch-hop – it’s a true gem. The sound design and creativity on the tune is simply impeccable, and with this being Bowtie’s very first release on a major record label like Monstercat, his future looks rather auspicious.
