TJR Releases “Come Back Down” Featuring Benji Madden, Yes From Good Charlotte

TJRmadden
I am a huge fan of what GTA is doing right now with their “Death To Genres” tour. I think that it is great musicians are feeling inspired to try to new things and ending up with amazing results. With that being said, I’m not going to sugarcoat this one.

TJR & Rising Music went the wrong way on the vocals for this track.

Benji Madden, guitarist & backup vocals for Good Charlotte, adds an entirely different dynamic to this song and I’m not a fan of how they all blend. The track itself has some very cool production elements/sounds and while Benji’s vocals are fine by themselves, the complete product seems to be confused about what it is trying to be. Then take into account the incredibly mellow breakdowns followed by loud, party drops. It just doesn’t mesh well. Hopefully the current remix-obsession will result in some fantastic edits with clearer focus.

If you happen to disagree, the track is available for purchase on Beatport and you can hear the preview below. Let us know what you think about the collaboration in the comments and on twitter.
