Alex Wiley – “Vibration (Honest Remix)” [Free Download]

It’s always dope when a producer takes a track and changes it to something fully different. This is the case with Alex Wiley‘s track, “Vibration.” The Chicago-based rapper’s track got some nice remix treatment from Honest, a producer from Tempe, Arizona.

The remix gets your attention with some wet, reverberated vocals in the beginning, and a catchy house beat to follow. While listening to the track, I can say that I felt laidback, relaxed and got some visual images of a sunny beach somewhere in the world. The vocals are definitely not my favorite part (since I am a house-head and 90’s hip-hop child), but the calming beeps create a nice harmony.

I always wondered how producers who live so far from each other decide to exchange work. Even though there is some distance from each of these artists, the remix managed to be an awesome aural experience.
