Have you ever wondered if someone else out there is listening to the same song, at the same time? Well now your question has finally been answered. Spotify just revealed their latest creation, Serendipity, which is a real-time map that shows when people play the same song, at the same time. The project was created by digital artist Kyle McDonald who compiled data from Spotify’s extensive network to form this online wonder.
“25-50 million people are listening to music [on Spotify] at any moment,” Donald explained. “10-20,000 songs are started every second!”
