Once I heard Aphex Twin had a single from Syro uploaded to the internet, I had a huge smile. I mean, we’ve been waiting forever and the unraveling of the project isn’t making things any easier, aside from the fact that we know his music is coming soon. Warp had the opportunity to host “minipops 67 [120.2][source field mix]” which features the experimental style the UK artist has been known for. It has a very techy feel to it; this record is both fun and eerie to experience. I’m sure the rest of the album is going to be just as alluring, if not more so than this single. The gates have opened and Aphex Twin’s musical monsters will be coming out to the world, with September 23rd being the day all of them come crashing into the public.
