Disco may have died in the 70s, but funk sure as hell didn’t.
Skope brings to the table a wildly funky EP, Laser Brick, infused with heavy glitch breaks and a good dose of live instrumental production. Funk is the original dance music, and it’s still hard for me to find anything that can make me move quite the way a tasty, funky bassline can. And then you go and mix in some wobbly bass, awesome vocals from Damien Soul and overall wonderful sound design, well… then you’ve got something really, really good.
