For the second release on Henry Fong’s newly formed label, Banzai Recs, Halfway House’s “On Fire” makes for a successful follow up to the inaugural release by the founder himself. Halfway House, the duo out of Las Vegas, is known for their electro-house style that sometimes melds into big room. That is what one should expect from “On Fire” and many of the future releases on this label.
Coming in at only slightly over four minutes, there is no downtime in the song. The breaks are especially good, with the second of the two leading into a melodically impressive synth line that carries the song to its big room climax. “On Fire” is one of the best tracks we have heard from Halfway House and is a strong second release for Banzai Recs.
