Deadmau5 doesn’t discriminate.
And by that, I mean he’ll play wherever he damn well pleases.
The newest venue for the Canadian producer is a small state fair in Pennsylvania, the Allentown Fair, on September 5th. Though, it’s not really fair to call the Allentown Fair small. Headliners in the past have included ZZ Top, Johnny Cash, Rush, Bruno Mars, and Taylor Swift. However, Deadmau5 marks history as the first electronic artist to headline the fair.
Leigh Valley has had Tiesto and Hardwell perform before at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center, “but its 3,750 capacity for a standing show is far smaller than the fair’s 14,500 capacity such a show.”
Even better, tickets for the fair are relatively cheap for all the headliners that are playing, Carrie Underwood, Def Leppard, Styx, Eric Church, and Meghan Trainor. The fair runs Sept. 1-7.
Tickets, at $59 for both general admission festival standing on the track in front of the stage and reserved seats in the grandstand, go on sale at noon July 24 at the fair box office, online at www.Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets or at 800-745-3000.
This seems like a really fun alternative to the normal electronic show that we’re used to, and it’s cheap to boot. If you find yourself in Pennsylvania at the beginning of September, I’d make sure to stop by.
