Remember Dolly Parton’s classic “Jolene”? Well, there has been an “ID” track that’s a cover of the original “Jolene” floating around the internet, and it’s been causing quite a stir amongst house fans. Up until today, people were only able to guess who the producer was behind the new tune, but the secret has been revealed through curious fans using Shazam to unlock the secret. The Toolroom and Spinnin’ Records mainstay, Ferreck Dawn is the mastermind behind “Jolene.”

Covers of classic songs can be a daunting task, but Ferreck executes his rendition with style and precision. The old folk song has been transformed with a silky smooth house vibe that’s the perfect match for the unforgettable vocals and guitar work. Listen below and stay tuned for the release on August 28th via a new label called Source.
