Skrillex lends his production talents to another friendly name, the ever-talented Elliphant on their new collaboration “Spoon Me.”
The collaboration will appear on Elliphant’s forthcoming sophomore album, Living Life Golden, out February 26th. The album will feature collaborations with Azealia Banks, Major Lazer, Twin Shadow, and of course Skrillex. The tune shows off a more chill side to Skrillex, employing a soft future bass rhythm to Elliphant’s notably reggae vocals.
The best part is that it still sounds exactly like a Skrillex production even when he’s entering new territory, something that many producers seriously struggle with.
You can pre-order Elliphant’s album here; unfortunately, “Spoon Me” is not yet available as a downloadable single.
The two have collaborated before on Elliphant’s 2014 hit “Only Getting Younger.”
