When we first heard Afrojack had purchased the impossibly fast Bugatti Chiron for $2.5 million, our jaws pretty much dropped to the floor. Not only is Bugatti claiming this to be the fastest legal land vehicle currently available, it’s also a LOT of money for a DJ to drop on a single item.
Nonetheless, the car had never had a “civilian” passenger before yesterday’s Nürburgring trial. The car’s 1,500-horsepower, quad-turbo W-16 engine can catapult the vehicle from 0-62 in 2.5 seconds, 0-124 in 6.5 seconds, and 0-186 in 13.6 seconds (all figures in miles per hour); this, despite the car weighing nearly two tons.
