I can always count on Cavalier to drop a wavy atmospheric AF trap banger whenever I stumble upon his SoundCloud feed. The dude manages to pump out original music at a frantic pace, never once do I get feel like I’ve heard too much Cavalier.
“UNIVERSE” is no different to the rest, minus the fact that is, of course, different. The subtle R&B and jazz influences are plain to see, driven on by some beautiful lounge-style piano keys, while there’s also a splash of modern influence with the funky synths and off-beat percussion kicks. It’s fairly hard to keep things original when working sans-vocalists, at least that’s how I feel, but somehow Cavalier never manages to disappoint. Grab yourself the DL here and listen below.
