Elephante – Hold (feat. Jessica Jarrel)

Progressive house and electro house hero Elephante has been at work for quite some time creating his most ambitious project to date. With prior releases “Closer” and ” Catching On” making recent buzz, Tim Wu adds his track “Hold” featuring Jessica Jarrel as the latest single for his upcoming I Am The Elephante EP. But fans of his classic sound found in his remixes of Jack Ü, Galantis, and Clean Bandit might find something unexpected and different in this new tune.

In the track “Hold”, Elephante takes Jessica Jarrel’s pop-style singing and chops them up to rearrange them over a beat that is a mesh of dancehall and 90’s flavored hip-hop. Where Wu shines on the production of this new song is in his ability to blend his nurtured noise with an alternative bpm and a moldable vocal hook. Along with the mastering of his sound on “Closer”, the risks he took in “Catching On”, and the genre overhaul he conquered in “Black Ivory”, the new Elephante EP is gearing up to be one of the most exciting projects to drop next month.

Make sure to grab or preorder I Am The Elephante EP when it drops September 14th.
