The thing about Speaker of the House’s music is that I feel like I can listen to it whenever I want and it still feels right. It’s a 1AM on a Monday night as I sit here typing this, but still, Speaker of the House’s soulful deep house melodies feel oh so right.
His latest single “Awake, Asleep” features vocals from singer REMMI who adds a luscious dreamy atmosphere to the song with her enchanting vocals. Lyrically, the song might very much so be about a conscious/subconscious world where we the listeners exist in, but at the same time the melody is vibrant and uplifting enough you can not only listen to this as you fall asleep to dream but also if you’re all up in the pre-game and ready to hit the club.
