Jazz inspired dubstep seems to be a myth only Ron Burgundy could think up. However, TIEDIE and Robert Taylor have mastered the craft of combining elements of jazz with hard hitting dubstep with their newest release. “Wyred” is the perfect combination of sweet and savory served up on Pantheon.
The track eases in with some jazzy chords laid down on a soft piano. A groove is quickly established between the piano, bass, and a killer drum arrangement. They introduce a gliding marimba inspired melody as the drums cut out and the build begins. Before you know it, some heavy hitting wubs come in to offer up a new, gritty variation of the melody. The track has been on repeat since it released.
