Back in August of 2016, legendary electronic trio Noisia released what many deemed the best drum and bass album of the year. Outer Edges was packed to the brim with unbeatable sound design, raw experimentation and a sturdy backbone of the nostalgic Noisia essence that ‘s carried the group’s career for more than a decade.
Now, the iconic LP has finally received the follow-up remix EP promised by the group in February: a deadly 20-track compilation featuring innovative flips from producers far across the musical spectrum. Mat Zo, Dyro, Camo & Krooked, Tsuruda, Moody Good, Bassnectar and more lent their contributions to the list, culminating in a listening experience that truly pushes the boundaries of the original’s impact and potential.
Unfortunately for fans of Deadmau5, the rumors regarding his own addition to the EP in the form of a “Collider” remix were proved false, as his name does not appear on the final roster. But despite his absence, the power and scale of the remixers come as a substantially worthy substitute.
