Earlier this morning, an insider source speaking on condition of anonymity told Dancing Astronaut that Mysteryland 2017 would be cancelled. While the source was not able to give a specific reason for the event’s alleged cancellation, they did say that the festival itself would be releasing an official statement sometime this weekend.

Now, the festival has delivered. In a brief post made to the event’s official Facebook page, Mysteryland wrote that “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mysteryland USA will no longer take place in 2017.”

The post mentions that the ticket refund process has already begun, and that pass holders will automatically receive full reimbursements in their bank accounts within the next three to five business days.

As the anonymous source predicted, the festival did not give any clue as to why its 2017 was cancelled.
