When you attend a music festival or concert, chances are you pull out your phone at some point to capture the moment and share on your 24-hour story. If you choose Instagram Stories over Snapchat, you’re joining the 250 million daily active users, compared to that of the latter’s 166 million.
“Our user growth for stories is actually coming at the explosive growth for Instagram overall,” Facebook’s global head of sales Carolyn Everson told CNBC. “Instagram is now at 700 million people globally.”
She also revealed 1/3 of the most viewed stories are businesses and advertisers using Instagram Stories. So, it wouldn’t be surprising if more artists, music festivals, media outlets, and other facets of the entertainment/music industry migrate to Instagram Stories.
