Ed Sheeran is close to breaking another music chart-topping record, as his hit song “Shape of You” ties for most time spent on Billboard Hot 100‘s top 10…

If he can hang on just one more week, the track will beat out The Chainsmokers‘ EDM/pop megahit – “Closer” featuring Halsey and throwback country artist LeAnn Rimes‘ – “How Do I Live,” both of which are currently tied with Sheeran for the longest top 10 streak ever at 32 weeks.

“Shape of You” also topped Billboard’s all-genre Radio Songs for 12 weeks, Digital Song Sales for 10, and Streaming Songs for four. In addition, Ed Sheeran absolutely crushed every UK chart record ever with his latest album Divide (stylized ÷), as the lead single paved his way to 2017 chart success.

“Shape of You” currently sits at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100… Check back next week to see if he can make music history!
