Having just released an exceptional 4-track EP, you’d expect Zhu to take at least a little bit of a break, right? Wrong.
The ex-mystery producer has revealed a brand new remix today in the form of “Feel It Still” by Portugal. The Man, off their new album Woodstock. The original’s use of horns, falsetto vocals and a big band sound plays right into Zhu’s wheelhouse, so it’s no surprise to see that he hit this remix out of the park.
The swagger on the original vocals still shines through brilliantly in the remix, taking on that easy going rhythm and impeccable execution that John Gourley put forth in the original. The added bass and synth elements meld Zhu’s and Portugal. The Man’s styles like an expert chef would in the kitchen.
