Steve Aoki is a true innovator when it comes to electronic music, so it’s no surprise he’s signed on to make new music exclusively designed for high-intensity workouts…

In a Forbes exclusive interview, Aoki reveals his new partnership with STRONG by Zumba — a music-motivated workout that’s about to get even better with the DJ/producer providing the beats! The track specific workout will reportedly match every movement in each Zumba routine, an all around fun yet intensive cardio challenge.

The reason why Aoki joined the Zumba movement is pretty simple:

“High intensity interval training is my favorite kind of workout, so it was a natural fit to partner with STRONG by Zumba. It was exciting to get the opportunity to create music specifically for a workout because there’s no better motivator than that. Plus, for me, it combined two passions of mine: music and working out.”

He claims to have used the same process in the high-intensity workout songs that he uses for all of his productions. Aoki participated in the routines before crafting the mixes, which allowed him to “design the music and match it with the varying intensities and dynamics of the program.”
